§ 9 Using Google Adwords Conversion

(1)

We use the offering of Google Adwords, to draw attention to our attractive offers with the help of advertisements (so-called Google Adwords) on external websites. We can determine the success of the individual advertising measures in relation to the data of the advertising campaigns. We aim at showing you advertisements that are of interest to you, making our website more interesting for you and achieving a fair calculation of advertising costs.

(2)

These advertisements are delivered by Google via so-called "Ad Servers". For this purpose, we use ad server cookies, through which certain parameters for measuring success, such as the insertion of advertisements or clicks by users, can be measured. If you access our website via a Google advert, Google Adwords stores a cookie on your PC. In general, these cookies expire after 30 days and are not intended to personally identify you. With regard to this cookie, the unique cookie ID, the number of ad impressions per placement (frequency), the last impression (relevant for post-view conversions) and opt-out information (mark that the user no longer wishes to be addressed) are usually stored as analysis values.

(3)

These cookies enable Google to recognize your Internet browser. If a user visits certain pages of the website of an Adwords customer and the cookie stored on his/her computer has not yet expired, Google and the customer can recognize that the user has clicked on the advertisement and has been re-directed to this page. Each Adwords customer is assigned a different cookie. Cookies cannot therefore be traced via the websites of Adwords customers. We do not collect and process any personal data in the aforementioned advertising measures. Google only provides us with statistical evaluations. On the basis of these evaluations, we are able to determine which of the advertising measures are particularly effective. We do not receive any further data relating to the use of advertising measures; in particular we are not able to identify users on the basis of this information.

(4)

On account of the marketing tools used, your browser automatically establishes a direct connection with Google’s server. We have no influence on the extent and the further use of the data which are collected by Google using this tool and therefore inform you according to our level of knowledge: By the integration of AdWords Conversion, Google receives the information that you have called up the corresponding part of our Internet presence or clicked on an advertisement from us. If you are registered with a Google service, Google is able to assign the visit to your account. Even if you are not registered with Google or are not logged in, the provider may obtain and store your IP address.

(5)

You can prevent the use of this tracking process in various ways: a) by setting your browser software accordingly, in particular by suppressing third-party cookies, you will not receive any advertisements from third-party providers; b) by deactivating cookies for conversion tracking, by setting your browser to block cookies from the domain "www.googleadservices.com", https://www.google.com/settings/ads, whereby this setting is cancelled if you delete your cookies; c) by deactivating the interest-related advertisements of the providers who take part in the self-regulation campaign “About Ads” via the link http://www.aboutads.info/choices, whereby this setting is cancelled if you delete your cookies; d) by permanently deactivating in your Firefox, Internet Explorer or Google Chrome browsers using the following link http://www.google.com/settings/ads/plugin. § 10 Remarketing

In addition to Adwords Conversion, we use the Google Remarketing application. This is a procedure we would like to use to contact you again. This application allows you to view our advertisements after visiting our website when you continue to use the Internet. This is carried out by means of cookies stored in your browser on the basis of which your usage behaviour is recorded and evaluated by Google when visiting various websites.  Thus Google can determine your previous visit to our website. According to its own statements, Google does not combine the data collected in the context of remarketing with your personal data, which may be stored by Google. According to Google, a pseudonymization is used for remarketing in particular. The legal basis for processing your data is Art. 6 Para. 1 S. 1 lit. f GDPR (EU).

 (1)

This website continues to use the Online Marketing Tool DoubleClick by Google. DoubleClick uses cookies in order to place advertisements that are relevant to the user, to improve the reports on the campaign performance or to avoid that a user views the same advertisements several times. Via a Cookie-ID, Google records which advertisements are placed in which browser and can prevent these from being displayed several times.  Moreover, via Cookie-IDs, DoubleClick can collect so-called conversions that are related to advertising requests. This is the case, for example, if a user sees a DoubleClick advertisement and later calls up the advertiser's website with the same browser and purchases something there. According to Google, DoubleClick cookies do not contain any personal information.
