Our New Peltier Gas Coolers

New Standards in Sample Gas Conditioning: the Modular Peltier Gas Coolers ECP4X/ECP5X

With the new ECP4X and ECP5X Peltier gas coolers, M&C TechGroup is expanding its portfolio to include a particularly flexible and high-performance solution for sample gas conditioning in process and emissions analysis. Our new ECP4X and ECP5X Peltier gas coolers combine high cooling capacity and maximum reliability with future-proof modularity, thereby offering users the utmost flexibility in day-to-day operations.

Modular Concept for Maximum Flexibility

The two new Peltier gas coolers ECP4X and ECP5X feature a modular design and can be expanded from a 1-channel to a 4-channel system according to requirements. The individual cooling modules operate independently of one another, thereby ensuring a remarkably high level of system availability and operational reliability.

Another advantage is that cooling modules can be replaced or retrofitted quickly and easily as required, thereby significantly reducing maintenance effort and downtime.

High Cooling Capacity even at High Ambient Temperatures

The new Peltier gas coolers have been specially developed for demanding applications and are designed for ambient temperatures of up to +50 °C (+122 °C). Even under these conditions, they ensure reliable cooling of the sample gas and reduce the dew point to a stable, low level.

With a cooling capacity of up to 4 x 450 kJ/h (ECP5X), these devices offer performance reserves that were previously often only achievable with compressor coolers. This opens up new applications in process and emissions monitoring systems, especially at sites with high ambient temperatures.

Intuitive Operation and Intelligent Monitoring

For ease of use, the ECP4X/ECP5X gas coolers are fitted with a modern resistive touchscreen, which clearly displays all relevant operating data and enables intuitive configuration.

The temperature setpoints can be set individually for each cooling module between +2 °C (+35,6 °F) and +45 °C (+113 °F)). In addition, various control modes are available to optimally adapt the cooling capacity to the respective process requirements.

For comprehensive monitoring of the cooler, the following features are integrated:

  • 5 potential-free alarm relays (1 collective alarm and 4 configurable cooling module alarms)
  • evaluation units for up to 4 liquid alarm sensors

In addition, up to 4 configurable analog outputs can be fitted if required.

Designed for Reliable Sample Gas Conditioning

Thoughtful design features minimize washout effects in the sample gas whilst ensuring safe and efficient condensate separation. Various heat exchanger versions made of glass, PVDF or stainless steel are available as options for gas flow rates of up to 150 Nl/h and 250 Nl/h respectively. In addition, peristaltic pumps can be used for automatic condensate removal.
